Art Among the Stacks: Cyanotype Workshop I

Saturday, July 19th, 2025 10:30-1:00 PM

Suitable for older teens to adults, class size is very limited, please RSVP to 518-851-7120 or email: info@claveracklibrary.org

Participants will learn about the 150 year old photographic process of cyanotypes and create two works of art to take home at the end of the workshop. We will print using both fresh and pressed botanicals, along with a variety of other materials. All materials are provided. *We recommend wearing old clothes.

Taught by local artist, educator, and designer Triona Fritsch. Triona works across a variety of mediums and disciplines including photography, textiles, encaustics and mixed media installation, the constant theme throughout her work is one of personal documentary and the exploration of her relationship to nature, place, and self. She immerses herself in the process of learning and growing along with the plants that are part of her daily life. Along the way, the themes of memory, consumption, preservation, neglect, and loss are often at the forefront of her work.
