Shibori-style Silk Scarf Dyeing Workshop

Shibori-style Silk Scarf Dyeing Workshop with Sally Ziegler. Participants will explore the art of dyeing and the Japanese resist technique of Shibori to create patterns on silk scarves. This includes the opportunity to design two silk scarves using one or more resist techniques demonstrated. Each scarf will be prepped, dyed in one of several color vats, rinsed, set, then opened up to reveal the beautiful patterns, and hung to dry. These one-of-a-kind creations will add an artistic touch to any outfit.
This will be outside on the library lawn, which is flat and accessible. There is also an accessible ramp to the library, which has public restrooms.
