CALL FOR ART • Napkin Sketch 2026
Celebrating the often overlooked yet ubiquitous napkin!
We embrace the impromptu nature of something we find on the table that transforms into an implement for capturing creative expression.
CREATE invites artists to take part by creating and donating a Napkin Sketch for ‘On the Table’ exhibit + fundraiser. Funds from the sales will contribute to the arts councils programming and operations.
- Eligibility: Open to artists anywhere – just make sure you can mail or deliver by the deadline!
- Sketch Size: Any napkin of your choice, but it must fit into an 8.5×11 inch sleeve that we provide for display.
- Medium: Any medium that works on a napkin.
- Theme: Open to your interpretation and creativity
- Submission Limit: Each artist can submit up to 3 sketches.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- MAIL by August 1st to CREATE COUNCIL PO BOX 463, Catskill NY 12414
- Include your (on a piece of paper with your napkin sketch):
- Your Name
- Location (where you’re based)
- Contact Info: Email / Website
- Title of piece
IMPORTANT DATES
- Send your Sketch(es) by: SAT, AUG 1st!
- On the Table Party: Fri, Aug 28th!
CREATE Policies
- All work is subject to review by CREATE and any pieces that violate copyright, code of ethics or CREATE policy will be removed.
- Submissions will donated to CREATE for the ‘On the Table’ fundraiser
- For any unsold pieces that you’d like returned, please include a return envelope with postage with your submission.
