GCCA’s Annual Membership Meeting-January 26, 2019

Greene County Council on the Arts (GCCA) Staff and Members on the Board of Directors presented GCCA’s Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at GCCA’s Catskill Gallery in Catskill, NY. Greene County Council on the Arts is now in its 43rd year of service to the communities in Greene, Columbia and Schoharie counties. The official meeting took place at 2 p.m. just before the opening reception (3-5 p.m.) for the first of GCCA’s 2019 exhibits ‘COPING: Art to Process Illness, Decay, and Loss’ a select group exhibit of work by artists who used the creative process to work through health crises, mental illness, and the loss of loved ones. ‘COPING’ will be on display through April 13, 2019. Over 200 people attended the Meet the opening reception and viewed the inaugural 2019 exhibit.

Over 45 current members possessing a valid GCCA membership attended. Marline A. Martin, GCCA Executive Director, presented the year in review and proposed changes to the GCCA By-laws. Ms. Martin introduced the new Membership Benefits and announced upcoming special events dates and news on GCCA programs. GCCA Board of Directors Treasurer, Jeff Friedman, presented an overview GCCA’s FY18/19 budget.
