Greene County Chamber of Commerce Special Event: GREENE GETS CREATIVE. The Greene Chamber of Commerce and CREATE Council for Resources to Enrich the Arts, Technology & Education (formally Greene County Council on the Arts) will combine their services to feature a select group of exceptional artists and artisans whose work is distinctive and who reside in Greene County. This gathering of professional artists will reflect the impact the arts has on the residents and the economy in Greene County. Come discover all the amazing creativity Greene County has to offer at this fun and entertaining evening while meeting interesting people and making great connection. Participants include Village Common-Hand -Built Candles & Essential Oils, Jill Skupin Burkholder-selections from her series “Hidden Worlds of the Catskills” & Dan Burkholder-Fine Art Photography, Maureen Garcia-Sculptural Clay Works, Kim Gilmour-Fisheye Brooklyn Ceramic Tableware,  Christin Ripley-Marbleized Paper Journals & Works on Fabric,  Elaine Warfield-Hand-dyed Scarves & Fine Art Photography Book Series of Four, “Northern Catskills,” and selections from the Kaaterskill Fine Arts Gallery. Sandra Dutton will read poetry and a selection from her upcoming production of JAMOT (to be presented at Bridge Street Theater in November). Horton on the Stream Theater’s Debbie Lee Jones will read a selection from their 2019 and 25th anniversary season production “Coming Home” by Horton Foote.Jazz Ensemble courtesy of Planet Arts featuring Michael Benedict on vibes and Joe Finn on guitar.  GREENE GETS CREATIVE is 5-8pm at the Orpheum Theater, located on Main Street in Tannersville, NY.  Admission to the event is $10 and is open to the public.
