A Berkshire Sampler

with Author Kevin O’Hara

To honor St. Patrick’s Day, author Kevin O’Hara will present “A Berkshire Sampler,” reading selected short stories at the North Chatham Free Library on Sunday, March 19 at 3pm. Kevin has published four books. The first two explore his Irish American experience. His journey in Last of Donkey Pilgrims began as a mad lark: who in the world would convince themselves that they could circle the entire coastline of Ireland walking alongside a donkey and cart? Library Journal called his donkey tales “one of the finest books about contemporary Ireland ever written.” His second book, A Lucky Irish Lad, tells of his boyhood tales closer to home. In A Christmas Journey and Ins and Outs of a Locked Ward, hedelves into his work as a psychiatric nurse for three decades at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. A lively Q&A with the audience will follow the reading.

Since seating is limited, registration is required.  Email the library: Registernorthchathamlibrary@gmail.com. For health reasons, on the day of the event, do not attend if you are feeling sick. Masks are optional but encouraged.
