The great pianist Earl Wild transcribed all these alluring Gershwin tunes into virtuosic etudes and variations–all fun, passionate pieces for solo piano. Would there be anything sweeter than a Saturday matinee with pianist Joanne Polk performing these arrangements of Gershwin’s songs while Jeffrey Langford walks us through the life and times of the composer?
