Grazhda Chamber Music Society

The Grazhda Chamber Music Society — violinists Vasyl Zatsikha and Nazar Pylatyuk, violist Richard Young, cellist Natalia Khoma and pianist  Volodymyr Vynnytsky — will perform at the second concert. Vasyl Zatsikha is considered one of Ukraine’s finest violinists. He is a laureate of over 20 international violin competitions. Mr. Zatsikha received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Lviv National Music Academy and continued his studies at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin International Academy. He concertizes widely and since 2021 is principal violin leader of Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. Violinist Nazar Pylatyuk achieved international recognition as the first prize winner at Yankelevych International Competition and is a laureate of the Karl Flesh Competition. He received his Doctorate of Musical Arts from Lviv National Music Academy. Mr. Pylatyuk has been featured as soloist and chamber musician throughout the USA, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Germany, and Ukraine. Richard Young (resident of the Town of Lexington in Greene County) was the principal violist and producer of the twice Grammy-nominated venerable Vermeer String Quartet. He is also renowned as a music educator and mentor to the disadvantaged youth.

The Chamber Music Society will present works by Bach, Haydn, Brahms, and Skoryk.
