For Time & Space Limited’s 50th Anniversary, Roberto Juarez is making an installation of new work for the vast warehouse gallery space.
Juarez’s paintings are inspired by TSL’s commitment to creative experimentation and their legacy of sociopolitical story telling, music, and movement.
The installation will comprise large paintings (some 8’x8′) along with smaller studies and videos giving insight into his process.
Roberto Juarez is a visual artist active in the areas of painting, printmaking, drawing and large scale public commissions throughout his career. Born in Chicago of Puerto Rican and Mexican parents, he received artistic training at the San Francisco Art Institute followed by film studies at UCLA. He has had numerous solo and group shows at museums and galleries in the United States, Latin America, Europe and China. Awards and recognition include a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome, being an Academician at the National Academy of Design and a Civitella Raineri Residency.
He has lived and worked in Columbia County, NY for more 20+ years.
Time & Space Limited is known as a sanctuary for creativity and expression-TSL was born in NYC (1973) then moved to Hudson, NY (1993)— TSL is honored to have Roberto Juarez’s work in our space to add to our celebration of 50th anniversary events.
