CREATE Council on the arts is excited to announce our 2026 iteration of Seen Scenes will be held at the historic Kinderhook Knitting Mill (8 Hudson Street, Kinderhook, NY).
Seen Scenes—the theme of this show—is open to your interpretation. Literal or metaphorical scenes, we are interested in seeing what this prompt inspires for you!
Please note, due to limited space, this show will be curated so all submissions will be reviewed and notifications of selected pieces will be sent by May 27.

Opening Reception: Sat, June 6, 3–5pm
We invite members, their family and friends, and the community at large to join in an evening with light refreshments to thank our hosts and participating artists.
Co-Working with Garden Club: Thur, June 11, 9am–12pm
Bring your laptop, sketchbook or paperwork and co-work with us! If you tend to work will be space to chat and also a quiet room. Coffee will be provided. In partnership with Garden Club Hudson Valley.
Off The Page: Sun, June 14, 2pm
Off The Page offers an opportunity for members working in literary media to perform and share their work, expanding the exhibition through the inclusion of live readings and spoken performance. Participating artists are encouraged to reflect on the exhibition theme and use it as a starting point for expression through poetry, prose, spoken word, and other short literary performances in front of a live audience.
Demo Day: Sat, June 26, 12–3pm
Demo Day invites a handful of artists to present live demonstrations of their process and technique to attendees. With multiple rotating stations, visitors can move between tables, observe different approaches, and gain insight into the creative process.
