Still Life Drawing

Sept. 4, 5 & 6, 6-8pm

Using ordinary objects as drawing subjects participants will consider volume, texture, line and light to dark values. Each of the three sessions will focus on different drawing materials: day 1 pencil, day 2 charcoal and day 3 ink. Given a variety of options each participant will choose a still life object and can continue with the same object or change throughout the three sessions. The object will be lit to create contrast of values and cast shadows. This is a basic drawing class for novices or those with more experience who would like to continue developing more skills and experiment with new materials.  

All materials provided.
