The Canzonetta Baroque Ensemble, “The Violin Comes of Age”

Catskill Mountain Foundation’s Piano Performance Museum presents The Canzonetta Baroque Ensemble, “The Violin Comes of Age” on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 8:00 PM at the Doctorow Center for the Arts in Hunter, NY.

The Canzonetta Ensemble will present a program of virtuoso violin sonatas of the late 17th century by Corelli, Lonati, and Walther, with cantatas with violins by Steffani and Alessandro Scarlatti, featuring acclaimed violin virtuoso Theresa Salomon and mezzo-soprano Tracy Cowart, with Gwendolyn Toth, harpsichord, John Mark Rozendaal, cello, and director Richard Kolb, theorbo.
