Wave Farm Upstate Art Weekend

SATURDAY JULY 22: Join us for a lively afternoon of percussive performances in our forest, in celebration of the newest installation at Wave Farm’s Art Park and in conjunction with @upstateartweekend.⁣

⁣ 1 p.m. Lisa Schonberg with Leah Bowden and Melanie Medina, structured improvisation with percussion and electronics, with sounds of insects amplified through sculptures on site.⁣

2 p.m. Azouke Legba with special guests, Gamelon performance with marimba tree and water drum.⁣

3 p.m. Chris Corsano, improvised solo performance for bark, branch, trunk and suspended objects.⁣

4 p.m. Bobby Previte⁣

⁣This afternoon of performances is planned in celebration of Charles Stobbs’ Chiral Proscenium, the 13th installation at Wave Farm’s Art Park. It involves the long-term outdoor installation of a large-scale sculptural work in reference to a proscenium arch, the installation will exist as an intervention into the landscape while providing a venue for performance.⁣
