Workshop: Georgia O’Keefe Inspired Florals in Color

Wednesday, Mar. 20, 6-8:30pm

Instructor: Natalie Boburka. Get ready to immerse yourself in a colorful flower! In this class you’ll examine Georgia O’Keefe’s colorful close ups of flower paintings as inspiration. You’ll choose your own individual photo of a flower (provided) to draw using a loose grid for accuracy. You’ll learn to draw the negative space and will then learn a way of applying the paint to form the basic color, value, texture, and shape of the parts of the flower. You’ll add the details using different ways of applying the paint for texture. Each person will end up with a small colorful jewel-like intimate painting. No experience necessary! All Materials provided.
