Greene County Poet Laureate

The Greene County Poet Laureate position was instituted in 2025 with the support of the Greene County Legislature and administered by CREATE Council on the Arts.

Being appointed to the position of the Greene County Poet Laureate, a certain criterion will need to be met to be considered. The process will include a call for a nomination or application from local Greene County residents. 

Applications will be administered by the staff at CREATE, reviewed by a panel of community members who will make their recommendation of appointment to the Chairman of the Greene County Legislature. The position includes a $1,000 honorarium for each year of the two-year term.
