ARTIST STATEMENT
As travelers pass through this station, they will recognize the images in the display case, as well as the warmth, beauty, and history of the timeless city of Hudson, NY. I spent many years studying the light and shadows of Hudson. I share my memories and my love for this city on the Hudson River.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Joan Damiani relocated to Columbia County shortly after earning her BFA in Fine Art from NYU. She retired as a school administrator from HCSD in 1996, studied art at Bard, and then photography at CGCC before opening J. Damiani Gallery on Warren Street in Hudson in 2004. The J. Damiani Gallery/Studio is now located in Hillsdale, NY.
