Writing a Standout Bio for Artists & Creatives

WED, Sept. 6
12pm – ONLINE / ZOOM
Instructor: Kate Devine

In a world where digital profiles and online applications serve as first impressions, knowing how to write your own short bio (one that doesn’t make you cringe), is certainly worth figuring out. You’ll leave with a stand out bio to use on applications, resumes, and submissions.

Kate Devine is a personal essayist, teacher, and founder of Notice, Wonder, Arrange: Writing Workshops and Mood Barre. Her work focuses on the intersection of movement and creativity to uplift our moods and usher us into more receptive states of mind. Kate’s essays and poems have been published in New York Magazine’s The Cut and various literary magazines. She has an MFA in creative nonfiction writing from Sarah Lawrence College. Originally from coastal New Jersey, Kate currently calls Catskill, NY home.

This seminar is one of a series of professional development workshops that CREATE Council On The Arts is sponsoring in an effort to better support the needs and interests of artists in our community.
