An Evening with Gerard Malanga – Film Screening, Poetry Reading & Book Signing

An evening with legendary poet, photographer, filmmaker, and Warhol Superstar Gerard Malanga will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Left Bank Ciders, in Catskill, NY.

The event will begin at 7:30 with a screening of Gerard Malanga’s Film Notebooks (2005), consisting of extremely rare footage captured during Malanga’s years at The Factory. 

The evening will also feature Gerard Malanga reading from his latest book, Odie Is Being Called Back & Other Poems (Bottle of Smoke Press, 2024). A Q&A and book-signing will follow. 

Malanga was recently made a Chevalier of Arts and Letters by the Republic of France through the Ministry of Culture, in recognition of his lifelong contributions to poetry and photography.
